Imagine a ceremony on the South Lawn with panoramic views of Red Cedar Lake, or a tranquil gathering in the former Stout Family master bedroom with a wood burning fireplace.

Stout’s Island Lodge offers an elegant yet relaxed setting with a selection of private event spaces for intimate groups to large tented weddings for up to 175 guests.

Stout's was built in 1903 by Frank D. Stout as a summer retreat for his family and modeled after the famous Adirondack camps. Over the past 25 years, new cabins have been erected and we now have a total of 43 guest rooms on the Island.

Island Catering

Your meals are prepared by our gourmet chef in our very own island kitchen. We pride ourselves on fresh, upscale, delicious food sourced locally whenever possible. We even grow some of our own vegetables on the island.

Convenient lodging is available with a total of 40 guest rooms on the island that merge the historic and rustic elegance of the venue.

Continental breakfast is included with lodging, and items are available from the breakfast menu, as well.

Wedding Packages

We offer exclusive wedding packages, where you and your guests have private use of the island, or non-exclusive weddings, where there may be other guests on the island. Whatever you choose, it will surely be a day to remember.

Exclusive Private "All-Island" Weddings

Exclusive use of the island and all facilities—your group will be the only guests on the island.

This option includes rental of the Main Island, East Island, Great Room, Dining Room, Ice House, Mrs. Stout’s Room, all common areas, the ceremony fee, event space setup, and day-of coordination of rentals, deliveries, and staff.

Ceremonies

Outdoor wedding ceremonies can take place on the South Lawn, North Lawn, and in the gardens.

Receptions

In most cases, receptions are held in a tent (40′ x 60′) which is erected on the main lawn. In case of inclement weather, the ceremonies are held in the tent. There are many rooms and areas that can be utilized in addition to the tent including the Main Lodge and the Ice House.

Lodging

We require that 100% of guest rooms be booked by your group both Friday and Saturday nights, even if you do not use all rooms on the island. A 15% discount will be applied to the best available rate for all rooms. If your group requires additional lodging beyond what's available on the Island, there are numerous lakeside accommodations nearby.

Small Non-Exclusive Weddings

This option includes hosting of your ceremony on the island, rental of event space, setup of event space, and linens/table settings (we have simple white linens, brown napkins, and white/beige plates). Food and beverage is additional.
